Google Pixel Watch — $321, was $400
The Google Pixel Watch is arguably a more stylish smartwatch than most. That’s thanks to its circular and domed design that stands out so much more than the competition can currently provide. It’s best suited for anyone who already has a Google Pixel phone but it works with other Android phones too. It offers all the benefits you’d expect from Google with easy access to Google Wallet, turn-by-turn directions using maps, and event notifications from Calendar. There’s also integration with the Fitbit ecosystem so you can easily track your heart rate and sleep quality. The Garmin Fēnix 7X is an intense health-tracking friend. With an exterior that feels like the “smartwatch” equivalents of the early 2000’s, the Garmin Fēnix 7X embraces buttons as a part of its design, but doesn’t shun having a responsive touchscreen, either. In addition to the usual array of health apps, maps, and trackers, the Garmin Fēnix 7X has built-in topographical maps for places across the world, including famous golf courses and ski resorts. While it isn’t the only solar Garmin smartwatch, the Garmin Fēnix 7X’s battery is something to behold. With GPS off it can last a full February (28 days), but with solar charging on and just a few hours outside each day you can easily extend that to 37 days or more.
When are the best smartwatch deals?
We don’t blame you if you can’t resist and need to buy a new smartwatch right now. Generally, smartwatch deals occur throughout the year so you’re still likely to get a good price right now. However, there are some specific times of the year when you may see the best smartwatch deals.
The best discounts will probably be in November. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are hugely popular times for all things technology-related to be discounted. We almost always see smartwatch deals like no others during the late November event. Yup, of course, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and that’s a really long way away. Still, if you can hold out until then, it’s fairly likely we’ll see the best smartwatch deals going on around the holidays. You’ll need to bear in mind that your finances may be tighter given you’re likely to be spending more for the holidays, plus you miss out on a summer of workout tracking, but if you can put up with all that, it could be worth the wait.
